→ Kayla Thorn | 17 | High School Student/Future Soccer Player | FC: Leven Rambin
Kayla has often been compared to a guy. So often, in fact, that she’s gotten used to it and even embraces it. It all started when her older brother got accepted into the 12-14 soccer team. Kayla was barely nine years old at the time, and would wait all week to see her brother play on the weekends. Mason wasn’t a pro or anything, but Kayla was fascinated with the game, even thought she was only watching from the sidelines. A few weeks had passed since the start of the season, and after one of the games Mason called Kayla onto the field, teaching her the how to play soccer. Kayla fell in love instantly, and demanded to join a girls’ little league the following day.
Since then, Kayla has grown up to become confident and strong, staying true to herself. The ridicule began at an early age and still hasn’t stopped, but Kayla is aware of the fact that she’s one of the star players in the area, and that’s enough for her. Keeping up with her soccer-girl reputation, all of Kayla’s friends are male, and she feels much more at ease with the guys. It wasn’t always like that though, as for a long time she fought for a place on the guy’s team. They discarded her efforts as pointless, but soon enough there she was, and they couldn’t help but admit she was pretty good. Kayla has already gotten a few offers from different colleges, and hopes her life as a soccer player will be what she’s been hoping for.
